MANILA, Philippines – Trainer Robert Garcia promises that his boxer Marcos Maidana will give Floyd Mayweather Jr. a hard time in the ring.

Garcia said they plan to negate Mayweather’s defensive prowess by drawing the undefeated American into a streetfight.

"In this fight Mayweather is going to suffer. He is going to have someone on top of him, giving him a hard time. It’s going to be awkward, it’s going to be difficult. It’s going to be like a street fight, and I don’t think he’s been in a street fight before," Garcia said in Boxeo Mundial.

Mayweather is set to defend his RING and WBC welterweight crowns for Maidana’s WBA title this weekend. The heavy-handed "El Chino" will be coming in as a huge underdog against Mayweather, who has yet to taste defeat in 45 fights.

But Maidana is coming in with a lot of confidence especially after be bludgeoned erstwhile undefeated Adrien Broner last December.

The Argentine plans to force Mayweather into a corner while swarming him with a lot of punches.

"Mayweather doesn't throw a lot of punches. He throws one or two shots and I’m going to be throwing punches every minute of every round," he said.
"I think I can knock him out, but I also think I can beat him by decision," he added.
