Pacquiao's 'disciples' increase in Baguio City
BAGUIO CITY -- The number of attendees at the evening bible studies of Manny Pacquiao in Baguio is growing.
On Tuesday evening, more than 700 local officials from Baguio and the mountain province came.
Pacquiao again preached the word. His wife Jinkee and her family led the praise and worship.
On Tuesday morning, Pacquiao took his Russian sparring partner to Teachers’ Camp.
They pushed each other working on speed and stamina.
The Russian still needed to get used to the thin air, but they got along right away.
If he has acclimatized, sparring may begin on Thursday.
Two more sparring partners are waiting for Pacquiao in the US.
In the afternoon, Pacquiao underwent more punishing workout at the gym.
Pacquiao was looking stronger. His left and right hooks appeared lethal.
Even he was sore from the run, he still did the very tough plyomteric exercises.
4th most influential
Pacquiao was also thankful for his latest recognition. He was voted the as 4th most influential athlete by Forbes magazine.
“I want to influence everyone to believe in God,” he said.
And he doesn’t need to be a fulltime preacher as Pacquiao said God can use him anywhere he is--as a boxer, politician and family man.
