Archers slay Eagles in Filoil Flying V Cup

MANILA, Philippines – The De La Salle Green Archers vanquished their bitter rivals Ateneo Blue Eagles during Saturday’s seniors basketball collision in Filoil Flying V Tanduay First Five Invitational Cup in San Juan.

The Archers scored a 77-74 victory over the Eagles during their match at the Filoil Flying V Arena.

The game was Dindo Pumaren’s first against Ateneo, which dominated the University Athletic Association of the Philippines seniors basketball in the last 2 years.

Pumaren took over the coaching reins from his elder brother Franz Pumaren, who is running for congressman of Quezon City.

In the first game, the University of the East Red Warriors defeated the Far Eastern University Tamaraws, 78-72. -- ABS-CBN Sports
