MANILA, Philippines – The Alaska Aces routed a short-handed San Mig Coffee squad, 85-66, to clinch the third seed in the PBA Commissioners Cup quarter-finals in their last game of the elimination round Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Aces used a balanced effort, with no player scoring in double digits, to whip the Coffee Mixers, who were playing without import James Mays and veteran Marc Pingris.

Both teams have been assured of spots in the quarter-finals even before the contest.

Alaska wrapped up its elimination round campaign with a 6-3 slate and a five-game winning streak, while San Mig finishes with a 4-5 record after losing its last three games.

Import Rob Dozier scored eight points for Alaska, while Raphy Reyes added eight points, four assists and two steals.
