MANILA, Philippines – After losing her title in Argentina, Filipino-American boxer Ana Julaton will return to action on May 4 to face Mexico’s Yolanda Segura.
“The Hurricane” will face Segura in the latter’s turf in Yucatan, Mexico, according to Boxing Scene.
Julaton (10-3-1) sees the fight as a step toward regaining the World Boxing Organization (WBO) women's super bantamweight title she lost to Argentine Yesica Patricia Marcos last month.
“That was not me in the ring last time out," said Julaton. “I fought my opponents fight. We all learn as we go and that will not happen again.”
Julaton said she will play to her strength when she battles Segura (8-3) this May.
“This is all about winning. I owe my Filipino fans around the world to get the title back and that is my mission,” she said.
