MANILA, Philippines – The top 24 beach volleyball teams from all over the country will go head-to-head in Boracay for the national finals of the 15th Nestea Beach Volleyball tournament this month.
Among the teams competing the men’s division are Arellano University, University of Mindanao-Tagum, Holy Cross of Davao College and University of St. La Salle-Bacolod.
Meanwhile, the competition in the women’s side includes University of Sto. Tomas (Women's), University of Mindanao-Tagum, Jose Maria College and Central Philippine University of Iloilo.
The national finals will run from April 19 to April 21.
The winner will be crowned the national champions and will get the P100,000 top prize.
The first runner up will get P65,000, while the second runner up will get P35,000. The third runner up will go home with P22,500.
Nestea Beach volleyball is sanctioned by the Philippine Volleyball Federation and conforms with the standards of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball.
Participants usually become part of the Philippine National Beach Volleyball team.
