MANILA - Majority of social media users in the country are optimistic about Manny Pacquiao beating American boxer Timothy Bradley.
They noted his eagerness to reclaim his WBO welterweight title, following his controversial split-decision loss to Bradley.
Just two days before the bout, Pacquiao said he wanted a decisive win over Bradley in their highly awaited rematch in Las Vegas.
Pundits, meanwhile, were divided in their predictions, with some pointing out the "killer instinct" missing in some of Pacquiao's recent fights.
On Friday, TV Patrol asked on Facebook and Twitter: "Sa tingin niyo ba ay mababawi ni Pacquiao ang kanyang korona? Mapapabagsak ba niya si Bradley?"
Supporters of Pacquiao expressed with great confidence that he will win the rematch.
Facebook user Elde Joy Decano Calunsag said, “Manny will win this time around with a convincing TKO.”
Nilo Alce, also posted on Facebook, “Lets pray for him.. I see he’s going to win! He learned a lot from the past.”
Another Facebook user, Nic Otenun, commented, “Kayang-kaya ni Pacman bawiin ang corona, wala sa kapasidad ni Bradley ang patumbahin si Pacman, puro dada lang si Bradley.”
While believe that Pacquiao will win, some said he should stay alert during the fight.
Meanwhile, some predicted that Bradley will win the rematch.
Bradley said he will defeat Pacquiao and prove that he deserves the WBO belt he won in their last fight.
