MANILA, Philippines – Hall-of-Fame trainer Freddie Roach is not at all concerned about Timothy Bradley’s punching power after the unbeaten American asserted that he can knock out Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao in their rematch.

Bradley, showing the bravado that he has displayed all throughout the lead-up to the April 12 showdown, said during his media day that he is capable of knocking out Pacquiao.

“I’m going to knock him out with the left hook. Not the right, but the left hook. That’s what I’m going to knock him out with,” said Bradley, as quoted by Abac Cordero of The Philippine Star.

Roach, speaking at the Wild Card gym a day later, laughed off the threat.

“He can’t punch with either hand, so I’m not worried about it,” said the five-time Trainer of the Year.

Bradley is unbeaten throughout 31 career fights, but only 12 of his wins have come by way of knockout.

As confident as Bradley is, Roach is equally confident that Pacquiao can avenge his June 2012 loss to the American.

“He (Pacquiao) is full of energy, and I’m very happy where he’s at right now,” said Roach. “Last week, I was a little worried that he had a sinus infection, but now he’s ready to go.”
