MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao is putting the finishing touches on what he says has been an excellent training camp with a week to go before his welterweight rematch against unbeaten American Timothy Bradley Jr.

“Everything went perfect in the camp, which we started in General Santos City some two months ago,” Pacquiao said in a PhilBoxing report.

“I believe we have covered all bases in our training regimen, from the strength and conditioning aspects, to sparring, to all the things we need to do,” he added.

Pacquiao is attempting to regain the WBO welterweight belt from Bradley, which he lost when he was controversially defeated by the American in their first fight two years ago.

“I want to bring back the championship to the Philippines, and I’m ready to do that,” said the former pound-for-pound king.

Pacquiao said he is looking forward to a “good fight” in the rematch, especially after he was informed that Bradley has shown explosive form during his own media workout last week.

“Good, meaning we’ll be giving boxing fans a good fight. He’s faster now, they said,” Pacquiao noted. “He should be, because I will be throwing him with so many punches from all angles, he wouldn’t know what hit him.”

Pacquiao spent the second phase of his training camp at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, and will be leaving for Las Vegas on Monday, according to PhilBoxing.
