MANILA, Philippines – Former welterweight contender Carlos Condit believes UFC champion Georges St-Pierre has the upper hand in the French-Canadian’s title defense versus Johny Hendricks.
Condit has already faced both fighters and has first-hand knowledge of how they perform inside the octagon.
"I'm going to have to go with Georges St. Pierre," Condit said in Fan Nation. "Georges St. Pierre - he's just a more polished fighter.”
Although Hendricks has tremendous punching power, Condit believes his skill set leaves much to be desired and that this will be costly when facing an all-around fighter like St-Pierre.
“Johny Hendricks, he's dangerous and he's got good skills be he is a little rough around the edges when it comes to his whole game, and Georges is just such a technician,” Condit said. “He puts things together so well and is just a sharp, clean fighter and I think that's going to make the difference in that match up."
