MANILA, Philippines - Rupert Zaragosa and Kristopher Arevalo are among the big names expected to vie for the Philippine Junior Amateur Championship presented by the MVP Sports Foundation at tough Sherwood Hills in Trece Martirez, Cavite.
Arevalo, who won the 13-14 division of the World Junior Championship last year in the United States, and Zaragosa, who won this event three years ago, will banner a stellar field seeking to cop one of the most prestigious crowns in the land.
Registration for the 72-hole stroke play event is still being accepted at the offices of the organizing National Golf Association of the Philippines, which will come up with two special divisions – the 18-21 and 13-under – to be able to expose more players to a high-magnitude tournament.
It is one of the events lined up by the NGAP this summer when players are currently on break from their studies.
