MANILA, Philippines – WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley said he will prove his critics wrong when he steps inside the ring with Manny Pacquiao for the second time in his career.
Bradley said that his no-loss record of 31 wins and 1 no-contest is proof that he has always surpassed his critics' expectations.
"Manny says that he's going to be the aggressive, destructive Manny Pacquiao of old times. I love challenges. I love when people say that I can't do something," said Bradley in RingTV "because I love to prove them all wrong like I have been doing my whole career.”
“I know that I'm going to be the underdog even though I'm the champion."
Bradley pulled off a controversial upset win against Pacquiao when he hammered out a split-decision victory over the fancied Filipino in 2012.
Pundits decried the result, claiming that the American was merely gifted the victory.
Bradley said that this time, he wants a different result.
"I don't want a gift. I want a win," said Bradley. "When I walk down the street, I want people to say, 'Dang, that's the guy that beat Pacquiao.' I want to win and I want the credit for it."
