MANILA, Philippines – The Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters will look to keep their record spotless as they gun for a seventh consecutive win when they play the San Mig Super Coffee Mixers Monday night at the Araneta Coliseum.

A win will also give the Tropang Texters a twice-to-beat advantage in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup playoffs.

Even with a chance to wrap up a top two finish, TNT head coach Norman Black warned his team not to underestimate the Coffee Mixers.

“Major concerns will be for us to get back on defense, especially off turnovers,” he told “We must also have a high energy level on the boards because they are a good rebounding team.”

San Mig dropped its first game of the conference with a slim 90-92 loss to Barako Bull last week, and head coach Tim Cone admitted that his team may have looked past the Energy Cola.

“No doubt, we’re coming off a disappointing loss that certainly stunned us,” he said. “We did a poor job of looking past Barako to our match-up with TNT.”

He is expecting another difficult game against the rampaging Texters.

“They are the team to beat at this point, and they’re going to be difficult to slow down. It’s always tough to play a team with great momentum,” he said.

Talk ‘N Text had passed their last test with flying colors, beating perennial crowd favorites Barangay Ginebra, 94-87.

Game time is at 8 p.m.
