Foxx wants Pacquiao to go after Floyd
MANILA, Philippines – Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx said he wants Manny Pacquiao to beat Timothy Bradley on April 12 and next face Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a superfight.
Foxx, who admitted to be one of Pacquiao's boxing fans, he wants the Filipino superstar to go after Mayweather instead of asking for another rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez.
"I'm rooting for Manny because I still wanna see Manny fight Floyd," Foxx told ABS-CBN North America News Bureau’s Yong Chavez.
"I wanna see Manny and Floyd really get down," he added. "And tell him don't fight-- What's the name of the Mexican kid that knocked him out? Tell him to leave Marquez alone.”
Other Hollywood celebrities rooting for Pacquiao include standup comedians Tracy Morgan and George Lopez.
Morgan said he doesn’t have a clue about Pacquiao’s opponent on April 12.
"I don't know [Timothy] Bradley. I like Manny," he said.
Lopez, for his part, believes the Filipino boxer defeated Bradley when the two boxers first fought in 2012.
Pacquiao lost that bout by a controversial split decision.
“I think Manny got Bradley the first time so I'm going with Manny," said Lopez.
