Pinay fighter set for ONE FC debut
MANILA, Philippines – Filipina boxer Jujeath Nagaowa will make her ONE Fighting Championship debut in May when she battles kickboxer Jeet Toshi of India.
Nagaowa, a former WBC Asia Atomweight champion, will be making her formal entry into the world of women’s mixed martial arts (MMA) in one of the supporting bouts of "ONE FC: Rise of Heroes" at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena on May 2.
"ONE FC: Rise of Heroes" will also feature Bibiano Fernandes’ bantamweight title defense against Masakatsu Ueda in the main event.
It will also stage the flyweight bout between Filipino Muay Thai expert Eugene Toquero and Malaysia’s Gianni Subba.
Nagaowa was supposed to make her ONE FC debut last December but her fight was eventually moved to May.
ONE FC also added two more bouts in the May 2 card, including the heavyweight clash between James McSweeney and Chris Lokteff and the middleweight bout between “Burmese Python”Aung La N Sang and Egypt’s Mahmoud Salama.
