MANILA, Philippines – Talk ‘N Text’s immaculate start to the PBA Commissioner’s Cup is all but meaningless for point guard Jimmy Alapag, who said his team’s goals are much bigger than a 6-0 start to the conference.

“To be honest, 6-0 doesn’t mean anything to us,” Alapag told “It’s great to get a good start, especially with the format of this conference being so short, but we’re not where we want to be.”

The Texters hiked their record to 6-0 last Sunday after a rout of the Barangay Ginebra Kings, but Alapag is not yet satisfied even as TNT continues to thoroughly outplay its competition.

“Our goals are much higher than just 6-0,” Alapag stressed.
“It’s great to be where we are now, but by no means are we comfortable, and our focus is to get ready against San Mig Coffee next Monday,” he added.

San Mig Super Coffee is also unbeaten at 3-0, although they put their clean slate on the line Wednesday night against Barako Bull.
