MANILA, Philippines – Two referees have been suspended after committing officiating mistakes in two Commissioner’s Cup games last week, the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) announced on Monday.

Referee Jun Marabe has been suspended for two weeks or seven game days after failing to call what the league said was an “obvious foul” by San Miguel Beer center June Mar Fajardo on Barako Bull’s Denok Miranda.

The Fajardo foul occurred at the 4:31 mark of the fourth quarter of the SMB-Barako game last Saturday, which the Beermen won 106-100.

Another referee, Rommel Gruta, has been suspended for two weeks, or six game days, for a “wrong out-of-bounds call” at the 2:20 mark of the fourth quarter in the game between Talk ‘N Text and Barangay Ginebra.

The game, which was played last Sunday, ended with a 94-87 win for the still unbeaten Talk ‘N Text.
