NU sweeps Perpetual to open V-League campaign
MANILA, Philippines – The National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs made short work of the University of Perpetual Help Altas in the first conference of the 11th season of Shakey’s V-League, winning in three short sets Sunday at the San Juan Arena.
Dindin Santiago scored 12 points, and Myla Pablo added 10 markers, as NU won, 25-20, 25-14, and 25-15, wrapping up the game in just over an hour.
Honey Royse Tubino scored 16 points for the Lady Altas, who also drew nine points from Norie Jane Diaz.
Tubino and Diaz got little support from their teammates, however, while Jaja Santiago and Mina Aganon provided ample back-up for Santiago and Pablo.
Pablo was named Player of the Game.
