MIAMI - Serbian second seed Novak Djokovic advanced to the fourth round of the ATP and WTA Miami Masters when scheduled opponent Florian Mayer of Germany withdrew Saturday with a groin injury.

Djokovic, who stands behind Rafael Nadal in the draw, was set to face Mayer on Sunday but now will not play again until Tuesday when he tackles either Spanish 16th seed Tommy Robredo or Frenchman Julien Benneteau.

Mayer, ranked 32nd, had also suffered a groin problem earlier this month at Indian Wells, where he lost the first set and retired one game into the second set against Jarkko Niemimen in the second round.

Djokovic is bidding to claim a fourth title on the Miami hardcourts, where he won in 2007, 2011 and 2012.
