LOS ANGELES, California – After three days of rest, Manny Pacquiao was back in the gym with his hard-hitting workouts.
The Pacman had caught a cold over the weekend forcing him to skip practice on Monday and Tuesday.
“Ayos na, nakabalik na tayo and then two days hindi tayo naka pag training… but nakabalik na tayo ngayon. Maganda ‘yung condition natin. Me sipon ng konti but in a few days siguro wala na,” said the fighting congressman.
Coach Freddie Roach is not too concerned as Pacquiao has been ahead of schedule in his training camp.
“Obviously he needed it because he's sick but we're a little bit ahead of schedule and we're right back on schedule now. He still has a little bit of a chest cold but it's common with Manny though because he has so many people that go to his house who want to bother him,” said Roach.
“I don't know why these people feel like they need to see Manny or get him sick.”
Keeping the Pacman motivated Timothy Bradley's recent claims that the boxing superstar has lost his killer instinct.
Pacquiao is due to meet Bradley on April 12.
“That's our focus for this training camp and this fight… aggressiveness and more action,” he said.
“He's very explosive, punching, hard I like the way I call combinations and he adds four or five more. We're being very aggressive… I like that,” said Roach.
The Pacman believes the cold should be gone within a few days. After this week he is down to his final two weeks of camp before he goes to Las Vegas for fight week.
