MANILA, Philippines – Top Rank chief executive Bob Arum is expecting an exciting fight between welterweight champion Timothy Bradley Jr. and challenger Ruslan Provodnikov, citing the difference in styles between the two combatants.

In an interview with Boxing Scene, Arum said boxing fans can expect an entertaining show when Bradley defends his World Boxing Organization (WBO) title against the Russian Provodnikov on March 16 in California.

“It’s gonna be a really good fight because of the styles of the fighters,” Arum explained. “Ruslan is a come-ahead guy, he’s like a tank.”

“And Bradley is a very, very good boxer, and he’s an expert in the ring,” he added. “So it should be an amazingly good fight to watch.”

It will be a high stakes fight for Bradley, who is competing for the first time since beating Filipino ring icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao in controversial fashion last June.

Arum said if Bradley triumphs against Provodnikov, he can compete in more high-profile fights against Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez or Brandon Rios.

The promoter also invited fans to come and watch the fight at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.

“Fans can see great action, see a great main event in Provodnikov and Bradley. They will see a terrific undercard, and the prices are very fan-friendly,” Arum said.
