Slaughter, Barroca lead All-Star Game voting

MANILA – Ginebra’s Greg Slaughter and San Mig Coffee’s Mark Barroca led all the top vote-getters for this year’s PBA All-Star Game, which will pit the PBA All-Star team against Gilas Pilipinas.

According to the league website, the 2013 PBA Draft No. 1 overall draft-pick topped the list of the center/forwards with 61,680 votes.

His teammates Chris “Airforce” Ellis and Mac Baracael came in at second and third, respectively. Ellis got 44,630, while Baracel had 33,756 to earn their respective spots in the starting five.

Meanwhile, Barroca topped the list of guards with 38,268. Two-time Most Valuable Player James Yap made it to the first five with 38,260.

The reserves will be decided by the PBA coaches.

The 2014 PBA All-Star will take place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on April 3-6. The All-Star Game will be on April 6.
