MANILA, Philippines – The De La Salle Lady Spikers are ready for whatever adjustments that the Ateneo Lady Eagles will make as they get the first of two chances to clinch a fourth straight UAAP women’s volleyball championship on Wednesday.
La Salle rebounded from its first loss of the season with a four-set victory on Saturday that allowed them to move to within one game of the Season 76 crown, and Coach Ramil de Jesus is eager to put an end to the series.
The multi-titled head coach is now expecting Ateneo to make adjustments for Game 3.
“Siguro mas magbabago sila, maga-adjust sila ngayon,” said De Jesus.
Ara Galang, who led La Salle with 17 points in Game 2, vowed that the Lady Spikers will be ready for those changes.
La Salle, armed with a thrice-to-beat advantage in the Finals after sweeping the elimination, can clinch the title with a victory on Wednesday. But Ateneo, the first team to beat La Salle in over two years, can force a winner-takes-all game if they pull off another upset.
