Hall-of-Fame boxing trainer Freddie Roach acknowledged that Timothy Bradley is a hard worker but guaranteed that Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao will be in better shape than the American when they meet on April 12.
Bradley is defending his WBO welterweight belt that he won off Pacquiao when he controversially defeated the “Pacman” in their first encounter in June 2012.
Speaking to Hustle Boss, Roach gave a few updates on Pacquiao’s training camp in General Santos City, saying the boxer’s “timing and distance” are “coming along.”
“At the end of the day, it’s about who’s the best conditioned fighter at the night of the fight,” Roach noted.
“Bradley is a workhorse. I know he trains hard. But you know what? My guy works hard also,” he added. “We’ll be in better shape than him, and that’s why we’ll win the fight.”
Pacquiao is holding the first part of his training camp in his own gym in Gen San, but will move to the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles soon.
