MANILA – Expect Air21 Express to go all out against Meralco when they tangle in the curtain raiser of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Wednesday.
The Express will do everything against Meralco to crawl out of a four-game skid.
Air21 coach Franz Pumaren and his charges have already lowered their losing margin to 3.4 points per game.
He said consistency will be their key to winning against the Bolts.
“We need better execution down the stretch,” said Pumaren in the league’s website.
Meanwhile, Meralco snapped its own three-game slide by edging GlobalPort, 90-89, last Sunday.
Meralco coach Ryan Gregorio said their 10-day break helped the team find its bearings.
“The break allowed us to fine-tune our offense, strengthen our defense and solidify our team spirit,” he said.
“We are upbeat to play again after the ‘Sunday Special’ hat-trick against GlobalPort. We want to continue to climb up the ladder,” he added.
“We are prepared to battle Air21 with defense as our main weapon.”
