MANILA – Rain or Shine owners Raymund Yu and Terry Que remain supportive of Coach Yeng Guiao despite the hefty P2-million fine imposed on the team for partially walking out in Game 6 of the PBA Philippines Cup championship series.

The fine is the biggest in the 39-year history of the league.

Yu maintained in Richard Dy’s report to that Guiao’s call for a walkout wasn’t planned.

“Alam mo, it (walkout) was a spontaneous thing eh, di naman iyan parang pinag-planuhan,” Yu said after meeting PBA Commissioner Chito Salud together with Que and Guiao.

The Elasto Painters walked out in the second quarter of Game 6 lasst Wednesday to protest what they claimed as unfair game officiating.

Salud was able to persuade the team to return to the court but were eventually beaten by the Coffee Mixers to clinch the championship.

Despite the penalty, Yu stressed that Guiao still has their full confidence.

“It's (confidence) always there. Siya (Guiao) yung ‘ika nga, naglagay sa Rain or Shine sa basketball map,” he said.
