Pacquiao wants to knock Bradley out in rematch
MANILA, Philippines – The camp of Manny Pacquiao said the Filipino boxer will be on “seek and destroy” mode when he meets Timothy Bradley for the second time this April.
Pacquiao’s close friend Buboy Fernandez said the WBO welterweight champion will have no place to hide even if he decides to run from constant pressure.
"Sabi nga niya (Pacquiao) sa amin, kapag nag-decide na tumakbo muli si Bradley gaya nang ginawa niya noong unang laban, nakahanda siyang humabol nang humabol (Pacquiao told us that if Bradley runs again just like he did in the first fight, he is prepared to give chase),” Fernandez said in an interview with Philboxing’s Eddie Alinea.
“At kapag nakipagpalitan, pupitaktihin siya ng suntok (If Bradley exchanges, he’ll be swarmed with punches)," he added.
Fernandez said that although Pacquiao refuses to publicly state it, he said the Filipino superstar wants to knock Bradley out.
He said Pacquiao has been motivated in training especially after hearing unfavorable statements from Bradley’s camp.
"Si Manny naman din ay nagpahayag na kailangan mapatulog ang kalaban. Marami na ksasi siyang naririnig na insults at patutsada galling kay Bradley na hindi na niya nagugustuhan (Manny himself stated the need to win by KO. He's been receiving so many teasing and insulting statements coming from Bradley which he doesn't like)," Fernandez said.
Pacquiao is holding camp in General Santos City until the first week of March. He will soon fly to the US to continue his preparations for the April 12 fight.
