Far Eastern University is gunning for its first back-to-back wins in the 80th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan on Saturday.

The Lady Tamaraws will take on winless University of the East at 2:00 p.m. as they look to spark a winning run after rebounding from a couple of setbacks.

The match will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166, LIGA on SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD on SkyCable Channel 183 and via livestream.

After a huge five-set victory over Ateneo de Manila University to start its campaign, FEU dropped its next two games – all in five sets. But the Lady Tams stopped their bleeding with an easy 25-23, 25-22, 25-19 drubbing of University of the Philippines.

FEU is tied with idle University of Santo Tomas with 2-2 win-loss slates at fourth to fifth spots.

On the other hand, the Lady Warriors have yet to taste victory this season after five games.

UE lost its head coach Francis Vicente after the mentor decided to resign from his post midway on his fourth year with the Lady Warriors.

The squad, which has been on a 12-game losing slump since last year, suffered an 18-25, 17-25, 20-25, loss to grand slam-seeking De La Salle University last Wednesday.
