MANILA, Philippines – The Petron Blaze Boosters – soon to be renamed the San Miguel Beermen – will get a new head coach for the upcoming PBA Commissioner’s Cup as Biboy Ravenes has been tabbed to replace Gee Abanilla.

The league website reported on Monday that Petron Blaze is once again shuffling its coaching staff after team manager Siot Tanquingcen’s contract expired.

Tangquingcen is moving to Barako Bull as a coaching consultant to Bong Ramos, while Abanilla will now become the team manager of Petron.

Ravanes will become Petron’s fourth coach in three years after Abanilla, Olsen Racela and Ato Agustin.

“They’ve been advised of their new jobs,” San Miguel Corp. official Robert Non said in the report.
