MMA: Team Lakay's Pacio set to make comeback vs Thai champion

MANILA – Former strawweight title contender Joshua Pacio has been lined up for another tough fight this March in Bangkok, Thailand.

Pacio, a member of the famed Team Lakay, will be pitted against former strawweight champion and 3-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai king Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke on March 11 in "ONE: Warrior Kingdom."

Pacio, a wushu specialist with a solid grappling skill set, was undefeated in 8 fights before losing to reigning champion Yoshitaka Naito.

He will be having a tough assignment against Sor Amnuaysirichoke, who has figured in 350 professional Muay Thai fights.

Two other Pinoys are also slated to fight in the same card.

Malaysia-based Filipino fighter Richard “Notorious” Corminal will square off with Thai MMA star Shannon Wiratchai, while Iloilo’s Rabin Catalan will tackle Thai standout Pongsiri Mitsatit.

ONE: Warrior Kingdom will feature the atomweight title clash between reigning champion Angela Lee of Hawaii and grappling specialist Jenny Huang of Chinese Taipei.
