UST forces KO match vs NU in softball
MANILA – The University of Sto. Tomas (UST) Tigresses scored a come-from-behind victory over the National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs, 8-5, to force a do-or-die game for a finals slot in the UAAP women’s softball.
Nancy Benjamen led the Tigresses to victory with a two-run double in the sixth in their step ladder series with the Bulldogs on Friday, according to Spin.ph’s Reuben Terrado.
UST also had five runs in the seventh and final innings to force a deciding game on Sunday.
The winner on Sunday will face the Adamson University (AdU) in the championship.
The Lady Falcons have swept the elimination round to clinch a finals spot and a thrice-to-beat bonus.
