NU, Adamson win in UAAP men's volleyball

MANILA, Philippines – The National University (NU) Bulldogs and the Adamson University Falcons won vital matches in contrasting fashion in the UAAP Season 75 men’s volleyball tournament Sunday at the San Juan Arena.

The Bulldogs claimed their 12th win of the season with a straight sets victory over the struggling University of the Philippines (UP), 27-25, 25-18, and 25-22.

Meanwhile, the Falcons surprised defending champions Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws in a five-set war, 20-15, 25-21, 25-20, 20-25 and 15-12.

The Bulldogs strengthened their hold on the top spot of the league standings with a 12-1 record, while handing the Maroons their 10th loss of the season against only two victories.

Adamson won for the eighth time against five losses, while FEU lost for only the second time this season. The Tamaraws have a 10-2 record.

Both the Bulldogs and the Tamaraws are assured of a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.
