Michael Martinez, one of two Filipinos set to participate in the 2018 Winter Olympics, is on his way to Pyeongchang.
The figure skater and his coach, Slava Zagor, left Los Angeles on Monday morning for South Korea.
The 21-year-old Olympian was clearly excited as he boarded his Korean Air flight, even video-blogging through the terminal.
Martinez plans to squeeze in as many practice sessions as he can between his arrival and his short program, which takes place on February 16.
"First of all, thank you for all the prayers and support," Martinez said before leaving Los Angeles. "We want you to watch us all on the 2018 Winter Olympics, representing the Philippines. Please wish us all the best."
Aside from Martinez, Asa Miller will also represent the Philippines in the Winter Games, in the slalom skiing event on February 18.
