MANILA, Philippines – Fiery coach Yeng Guiao was suspended for one game for pointing a dirty finger toward the game officials during Game 4 of the PBA semifinals between Rain or Shine and Petron Blaze.

PBA Commissioner Chito Salud added that Guiao was meted a P100,000 fine for disrespecting the league.

“Following this morning’s meeting with Coach Yeng Guiao re his use of a dirty finger pointed toward the commissioner’s and tech committee table, this Office hereby metes out on Coach Guiao the penalty of one game suspension and a fine of P100,000 for persistent conduct unbecoming of a coach exhibited in a manner positively indicating disrespect, if not disdain or scorn, for the league as an institution and its fans,” Salud said in a statement.

During last week's Game 3, Guiao was ejected in the third quarter after being caught flashing a dirty finger at Petron’s Arwind Santos.

During the following game, he was again ejected for badmouthing Ronald Tubid during the third quarter. He then pointed a dirty finger again at the game officials while walking his way to the dugout.

The suspension means that Guiao won’t be able to call the shots for the team when they play again on Friday.

Rain or Shine is leading the best-of-seven semis series, 3-1.
