Meanwhile, in the UAAP baseball tournament, the Ateneo Blue Batters bounced back from a surprise loss to the University of the Philippines with a 4-2 win over defending champions National University (NU) last Sunday.
“Ito ‘yung pinakamagandang game namin,” Ateneo coach Emerson Barandoc told Donjie Carreon of UAAP Sports TV. “Although late ‘yung hitting namin, ‘yung depensa namin sobrang ganda.”
Ateneo improved to 8-1, while NU absorbed its third loss against six wins.
