MANILA, Philippines -- Adamson University extended its amazing winning streak in softball in UAAP Season 76 action on Wednesday.

The Lady Falcons were stretched to the limit for the fourth time this season but still had so much to spare and routed University of Santo Tomas (UST), 7-1, at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

The victory was the 10th straight for the Lady Falcons—they are also unbeaten in 44 games since Season 73—and are two wins shy of sweeping the eliminations for an outright championship berth and a tremendous trice-to-beat advantage.

The Lady Falcons virtually put the game away with a four-run explosion at the top of the fifth inning. They allowed the Tigresses their sole output at the bottom fifth before clamping down on defense to sent their victims to their third loss in 10 games.

National University tied UST at second place in softball following a 6-4 victory over Ateneo (2-9), while University of the East (UE) downed De La Salle University, 9-4. UE improved to 5-5, while La Salle dropped to 2-9.
