MANILA, Philippines – Filipino boxing champ Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is excited to return to Las Vegas for his upcoming fight, a rematch against American boxer Timothy Bradley Jr., on April 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Pacquiao last fought in Las Vegas in December 2012, when he was famously knocked out by chief rival Juan Manuel Marquez.
His only fight in 2013 took place in Macau, which saw him crush Brandon Rios over 12 rounds to regain his winning ways.
“Excited ako dahil matagal-tagal na din na hindi ako nakakalaban sa Las Vegas,” Pacquiao said.
He is also intrigued at the prospect of once again fighting Bradley, who scored a very controversial victory over him when they fought in June 2012.
Since then, Bradley has notched victories over Russian brawler Ruslan Provodnikov and Marquez.
“Maganda ‘yan. Good for him 'yung experiences niya,” Pacquiao said of his foe's recent boxing wins.
But when asked about what Bradley will bring into the fight, Pacquiao did not seem to as complimentary of the outspoken American.
“Sa tingin ko, ano naman, ano ‘to, tatakbo ng takbo ito,” he said of the unbeaten boxer. -- With report from Raoul Esperas
