MANILA, Philippines – If Manny Pacquiao gets his dream fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., expect the boxers to slug it out not in just one, but 3 electrifying bouts.

Sports analyst Boyet Sison believes that the money factor will be too much for both fighters to settle their differences in just one fight.

"'Pag nasimulang maglaban ang dalawang iyan, hindi pwedeng walang pangalawa, pangatlo," Sison told TJ Manotoc on "The Score."

"Sigurado iyan," he added.

“Kung pag-uusapan natin kung magkano ang kikitain kung tatlong beses maglaban, hindi naman siguro bababa sa tig-$40 million each fight. So malaking pera rin ‘yun.”

Pacquiao has already figured in extended rivalries in the past. He fought Erik Morales thrice and slugged it out against Marquez 4 times.

However, it remains to be seen if the fight will actually push through as Mayweather, the undefeated but controversial boxer from the US, keeps on refusing the bout.

Sison added that Pacquiao needs the megabout more than Mayweather due to his back-to-back losses to Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez.

“Para kay Manny Pacquiao, marami pang kailangang patunayan in spite of the fact na marami siyang titulo,” said Sison. “Ang kanyang mga nakaraang talo ay tumatak sa ulo ng mga tao not only sa mga Pilipino kundi sa lahat ng boxing fans sa buong mundo.”

The analyst just hopes that the celebrated rivalry will materialize inside the ring as it is the fight most anticipated by boxing fans all over the world.

Sison said the bout will be a fitting end to their respective boxing careers.

“This will be the best exit strategy for both. ‘Pag naglaban si Manny at si Mayweather, manalo matalo, they can say that they fought the best and they can go out to the sunset,” he said.
