MANILA, Philippines – Welterweight fighter Carlos Condit is anxious to take on Rory MacDonald in their rematch in UFC 158.
Condit said his rematch against MacDonald makes sense, especially after his decision loss to UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre.
"When the opportunity arose, everything kind just fell in line. It's a great fight. I'm excited," he said in MMA Fighting.
Condit believes MacDonald will be coming in motivated after their first face off in June 2010, which Condit won by stoppage in the third round.
But he expects MacDonald to come in with a lot of anger, a factor Condit wants to use to his full advantage.
"I know that his loss to me wasn't sitting well with him. I was excited, man. Like I said, it's a great fight," said Condit. "He's coming into this fight with a lot of emotion, a lot of anger. I really feel like I'm going to be able to use that to my advantage."
UFC 158 is scheduled to take place in Canada in March.
