MANILA, Philippines – Rizza Bernardino and Luzviminda Embudo belted a solo home run each as the Adamson University Lady Falcons continued their dominance of the UAAP Season 76 softball competition.

The Lady Falcons were forced to a full-inning game for the third time this season, but their 5-0 shutout of the University of the Philippines stressed how virtually invincible Adamson is in UAAP softball.

The Lady Falcons are now unbeaten in eight games this season and even more remarkably, have won 42 consecutive games since Season 73.

In another game, University of Santo Tomas turned back the University of the East (UE), 4-3, while De La Salle University arrested a four-game skid with a 7-0 shutout of Ateneo de Manila University.

The Tigresses have won five straight and now have a 6-1 record, good for solo second, while La Salle improved to 2-6.

UE dropped to 3-7, and Ateneo remained in the cellar with a 1-7 win-loss record.
