MANILA, Philippines – Fresh off a historic championship with the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters in the PBA Philippine Cup, multi-titled coach Norman Black is already looking ahead to the next challenge – working with the team’s import for the Commissioner’s Cup.

Black led the Texters to a four-game sweep of the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters last Wednesday, which gave TNT their third straight All Filipino championship.

He later told that he plans to take only a few days’ break before starting to prepare for the upcoming conference.

“I think I need to get a break... Maybe three or four days off without doing anything because my import will be here in the next couple of days,” Black said. “Probably I have to start attending to him once he arrives.”

Black is hoping that their import, Keith Benson, will work out well as the Texters aim to regain the Commissioner’s Cup title.

“Hopefully, he’ll be pretty good and hard working and also helps me execute when I want to get it done,” Black said. “But until we see how he plays against other imports, we’re not really sure.”

“In this conference, the key is the import, who can make us continually competitive,” he added.

The 6-foot-11 Benson played collegiate basketball for Oakland University and was the 18th pick in the second round of the 2011 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks.
