PBA: Alaska survives Star comeback try to win in overtime

Calvin Abueva scored 5 of his 23 points in overtime and Alaska withstood a determined 4th-quarter rally by Star to win 97-90 in the PBA Philippine Cup at Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday.

Allein Maliksi scored 11 of his team-high 15 points in regulation as Star erased a 9-point deficit to force an extra session.

But Maliksi and his Star teammates went cold, while Abueva's two baskets and a late defensive stop helped to ice the game.

Vic Manuel contributed 25 points and 8 rebounds.

Alaska, GlobalPort and TNT are now tied with 4-3 records, while Star and Barangay Ginebra share 3-4 cards.
