MANILA — Neymar Jr.’s signature tournament is heading to Manila.

“Neymar Jr's Five” will give young footballers the opportunity to put teams of 5 to 7 players together to represent the Philippines in the World Final at the Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr in Praia Grande, Brazil and meet Neymar in person.

This year’s tournament is open to teams of 5 to 7 players aged 16 to 25, and for the first time two over-aged players are allowed in the squad.

Competing teams will need to have their Philippine passports on stand by when registering.

The 5-a-side teams battle it out in 10-minute matches with a twist — every time one team scores, the opposition loses a player.

Qualifying rounds will happen on February 18 and 25, with the finals taking place on March 4. The tournament will be held at SPARTA Philippines in Mandaluyong.
