Skiles steps down as Bucks' coach

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin - Head coach Scott Skiles has stepped down as coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, the National Basketball Association team announced on Tuesday.

Assistant coach Jim Boylan will take over for the remainder of the season for the Bucks who are now 16-16 heading into Tuesday's game against Phoenix.

Skiles - who was named the Bucks' head coach before the start of the 2008-09 season - was in the final year of his contract and had an overall record of 162-182.
