UFC's Cung Le to hold training for Yolanda victims

MANILA – Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) Cung Le will be visiting Manila this month to hold an mixed martial arts (MMA) training for the benefit of the Yolanda victims.

The former Sanshou kickboxer, the Strikeforce middleweight champion before joining the UFC, will stage a training session at the SkyFitness Manila at the Podium in Pasig City on January 15.

Cung Le has an MMA record of 9 wins and 2 defeats. He is 2-1 in the UFC.

He is also a movie actor, appearing in several action films including "The Man with the Iron Fists."

According to Balls Channel, the session will be used to raise funds for the survivors of super typhoon Yolanda.

Qualified registrants will be asked to donate P1,000 for the training session. Each of them will get a free "Tulong Na. Tabang Na. Tayo Na" t-shirt.

Registration is open to UFC viewers ages 13 and above. Deadline for registration is on January 9, 2014 (Thursday).
