MANILA, Philippines – Outspoken boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. believes Manny Pacquiao would have been better off had he aligned himself with Al Haymon instead of Top Rank’s Bob Arum.

Haymon is the American agent who is known for his strong influence in the world of boxing, having secured significant television coverage for his fighters, which included the likes of Mayweather, Amir Khan, Adrien Broner, Danny Garcia, Marcos Maidana and Paulie Malignaggi.

According to Mayweather, Pacquiao was given the opportunity to work with Haymon in the past.

"What's so crazy is a long time ago, Pacquiao should have got with Al Haymon and we would've got his career together. But sometimes, they don't listen. A hard head makes a soft ass,” he told Fight Hype.

Mayweather added that the Filipino is now stuck with Arum, whom the American boxer described as a coward.

He also claimed that that his career took off when he broke his ties with the Top Rank Inc. CEO.

“Why does he (Pacquiao) want to do business with a coward?” asked Mayweather. “When I left [Top Rank], he said something about I was scared of Antonio Margarito and all this, right? Where's he (Margarito) at now and where am I at? They claimed [Jose Luis] Castillo won the fight; where's he at now and where am I at? We can keep going on and on.”

He also implied of shenanigans within Top Rank.

“All I gotta say is where are they at now, and where am I at? It's so crazy; I be looking at fighters like Pacquiao. I know Rob Arum gonna eat, Michael Koncz gonna eat; all of them are on a percentage basis,” Mayweather said in the Fight Hype interview.
