NEW YORK - The National Basketball Association has rescheduled last month's Mexico City contest between San Antonio and Minnesota to Minneapolis, the league announced on Monday.

The teams were scheduled to square off at Mexico City Arena on December 4, but a pregame generator malfunction that led to a fire inside the venue caused the contest to be called off.

The game will now take place on April 8 at the Timberwolves' Target Center arena on a day when both teams are off.

The Timberwolves have been designated the home team.
