Rain or Shine beats GlobalPort for 4th straight win

MANILA, Philippines – The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters extended their winning streak to four games after beating the GlobalPort Batang Pier, 98-87, in the PBA Philippine Cup Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Five players scored in double-digits for the Elasto Painters, with rookie Alex Nuyles playing the best game of his young career to finish with 16 points.

GlobalPort were playing without veteran guard Sol Mercado, who missed the game due to a minor injury. Jay Washington carried the scoring load for GlobalPort, firing a game-high 26 points.

Rookies Nico Salva and Terrence Romeo had 11 and 10 points, respectively, but it was not enough as GlobalPort slumped to their fourth straight loss.
