MANILA, Philippines — Aldin Ayo is officially out as head coach of De La Salle University, but where he goes next is another matter entirely.
Ayo confirmed to ABS-CBN News that he has left his post at La Salle, but denied that he is headed to España to coach the University of Santo Tomas men’s basketball team.
“Hindi pa kami nag-uusap,” Ayo told ABS-CBN News on Wednesday.
Ayo left La Salle late December 2018, after a successful two-year stint that saw him lead the Green Archers to the UAAP Season 79 title and then a runner-up finish in Season 80.
It was then reported that he will take up the head coaching position in UST that was vacated by Boy Sablan.
However, it appears that this development is not yet final.
Meanwhile, his chief assistant, Louie Gonzalez, has been tapped as the new head coach of the Green Archers.
