Two-time UAAP Most Valuable Player Ben Mbala has been busy since announcing his exit from De La Salle University.
The big man is buckling down to work for Fuerza Regia in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional in Mexico, posting solid numbers in limited minutes.
According to his official Facebook page, Mbala wrapped up the year by scoring 10 points and grabbing six rebounds in just 21 minutes as Fuerza Regia defeated San Luis.
"I am happy I ended up in a great organization as Fuerza Regia is, with a great coaching staff, great teammates and fans," said Mbala. "Everyone has welcomed me here."
"I'll make the best out of this opportunity for us as a team, and for my growth as a player," he added.
Mbala confirmed his exit from La Salle on December 22, after a brief but dominant stint in the UAAP. He led the Green Archers to the UAAP championship in 2016, and to a second place finish in 2017.
